What are the Target Zero program criteria?
Before beginning the Target Zero verification process on Novi, scan the program criteria below to understand whether your products are a good fit.
What will be considered for the program:
Brands must meet at least one of these criteria to be considered for the program. Before you submit, please be confident you meet at least one of the criteria below.
- Products and packaging designed with the intention of reusability at end of life, replacing single-use products
- Products and packaging designed with the intention to refill—to reduce total waste
- Products and packaging that switch from single-use plastic to aluminum steel, glass (preferably recycled), or FSC-certified paper for the majority of product packaging
- Products and packaging made of at least 30% post-consumer recycled content for plastic (not paper)
- Compostable products or products with compostable packaging
- Products or packaging that use less water (concentrates or powders)
What will not be considered for the program:
- Recyclability claims only, including TerraCycle programs
- In-store recycling programs/take-backs
- Secondary packaging, like FSC-certified paper cartons containing single-use plastic primary packaging
